This September, the Institute Of Advanced Telecommunications (IAT) will be opening its doors to show its significant capabilities in wireless, photonics and networks research. As well as hearing IAT’s team of world-class experts discuss their pioneering research, there will be laboratory tours of the world-leading equipment available at the institute. The Digital Futures Showcase aims to attract a wide ranging audience from academia and industry. Dr. Peter Royds was among 3 of 80 contestants for the Swansea Bay Young Achiever of the Year to be short-listed for the Business category award. The winner of the 2008 Swansea Bay Young Achiever of the Year – sponsored by gas distribution company Wales & West Utilities – was announced at an exciting ceremony presented by 96.4FM the Wave’s award winning breakfast team – Badger & Emma.
